Default Truck is a dog off the line.

Recently took my truck to the track. Overall it ran well, launching in 2wd spinning into 3rd she was running a 9.5 in the 8th. My 60ft however and rt is terrible. Im fairly decent at timing the light but my truck doesnt move. Light turns and it looks as if i fell asleep at the tree lol. Truck rolls a bit then boost hits and bam, she is out of there. 60ft times avg 2.5.

So background on the truck, offroad suspension with 33in general tires. I know the truck is stupid heavy. I fairly certain i just need a different torque converter. Just wanted your guys input. Thanks.

More gear and shorter tire or either one of the two at the track should help

How big is the converter?
What is it flashing to at the line?
Are you foot braking to bring boost up?

Stock convertor right now. I am trying to foot brake it some, but can only get to about 1800 rpms before the tires start spin.

I already re geared it and put 3.73. But i think my problem is the stock convertor

The general tires arent helping anything either, not much on boost but a converter will definitely help, as would some 4.1 or 4.56s, what transmission is in the truck?

You've got plenty of gear if you leave in 1st instead of 2nd. My stock converter on my 14 would brake stall at 23-2500 depending on weather before the blower. Now it will brake stall at 3k even though I get my best 60' of 1.80 leaving at idle. You obviously have a bad lack of traction once it hits but the lack of being able to get up on the converter without pushing is a killer. Change the converter and then work on the traction and you'll be happy. Gotta leave on boost with a turbo because of lag! I've had loose and tight with a turbo and the loose one was a pain. It sure as hell hit immediately!!! Was a dog just driving around because of slip. Had it tightened to 24-2500 and loved it for daily duties. Still ran good just not as good. Oh btw that turbo truck cut a 1.69 60' on 32's bucking like a pissed off bronco because of no traction aids.

When i had my 2013 silverado (i miss that truck) the 4.8/4l60 untuned would spin the factory generals... assuming you have off road tired being 33s tgey arent nexcessarily meant for street traction...

If that's what they recommend Id probably go with it long as its not super loose just driving normally. 3400 should allow you to leave on plenty of boost that's the goal!
