Testing 496 at cecil tonight

I ended up going to etown instead but I was very happy.first off I only made one pass due to my stock starter giving me fits so here it is.I had to build up to 2000 rpms because of a stumble and then my truck spun about 20' then I short shifted at 5500 to take a easy pass on my maiden voyage then in hogh gear my A/F gauge started to climb from 12.4-5-6-7 so I lifted about 1200' from wide open to half throttle and crossed at a 11.27@118 w/1.62 60'.
When I got my slip and first off seen a 1.62 60' I was happy because the way it felt spinning I thought 1.80 then short shift and lifting early I was very very happy.
Now for the bad news,if I didnt spend enough already I now need a bigger carb, new high tq started and my old dry rotted drag radials gotta go.
New quick fuel 1050carb $900
Starter. $250
Slicks. $500
Oh ya just keep it coming
I'll be back at the track sat.&sun. For my 10.80 pass or atleast I hope so.also my truck weighed a bit more than I thought 3650 with me and a full tank of gas (9 gals.)
