Default first time with turbo 5.3

Was able to make some hits with my turbo truck finally.. I'm decently pleased with the way it ran for the mods.
2003 rcsb 5.3 222/226 ljms cam, trick stage 3 76 kit, 80# injectors, built 4l60, cheap circle d 3200(most of my problems I think lol), truetrac, 3.42s, homemade traction bars, street tires on 18s... 80 degree weather with 6000 da lol.... 12# on 91 octane. Went 13.5@108mph was the best... with a 2.33 60'..... working on uploading pics and videos now

Nice build. I'm surprised that 60e is holding on. Why do you think the 3200 circle D is the problem? Is it laggy out of the hole? How about after the WOT shift, is it instantly in boost after the shift or take some time before you hit 12#?

What track are you running in?

Edit: i see you are from houston, where in houston is 91 even offered ? Only seen 89 and 93. Your mph is very low something is going on for sure might want to check how much your converter is slipping.

I think your problem is running on street tires, but yea, the "cheap" Circle D converter is only rated to like 500hp I think...

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed reply... I moved back home and now my home track is Amarillo Texas. I'm not 100% positive on exact da but one of the guys at the track mentioned 6000. Lycoming, the 60 has held up great so far, juans transmission in Pasadena built it like 3 years ago and its held a lot of nitrous abuse. Its very laggy out of the hole, I don't notice it as much on the shift but I'm not positive. I'm planning on a new converter and tires but want to go ahead and do the 80 swap at the same time. Anything else yall think could be a problem?

i think its your converter.

juan does very good work, have one of his 80e's in my 95 supra spinning close to 8500 rpm without any hiccups.
