First time out with new mods - better than expected
I had a great night out last night at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. Lots of great cars running and great air with it being mid 60s out last night. DA was around 1400, so I pulled in fresh off the interstate after 2 hours and laid down these two passes:
I tried working on my launches later in the night, but I am still having some issues with timing being pulled sometimes when powerbraking and not others, and also trying to work out the best time to shift out of 4wd to maximize time. I think with a good set of tires that I could hook out of the hole I may be able to cut another tenth or two off. But, I couldn't be happier. As a reminder, here was the truck in similar DA at Edgewater before the supercharger and headers:
Not bad picking up 2 seconds and 12+ mph! Unfortunately didn't get a video, unless I can find something on Youtube from one of the guys I raced with a go-pro.

The truck makes 7-8 lbs the way it is now. I am putting together funds and parts to do a cam swap and at the same time will probably swap to an overdrive crank pulley since I can't swap the upper.
And, yes it would come out of 4wd during the run. I think that it actually caused me to lose time on one of my later runs because I spun during the 2-3 shift.

I've never tried to come out of 4WD during a pass but I wouldn't think it would save too much I mean the truck's already moving, would be good to find out though.

To be honest my 1st run with it in 4wd the whole pass had more vibration I could feel, but didn't run any substantial amount slower than the other run so it may not be worth it. May have to go try it out again sometime.
