Default Beating up the 20's at the 1/8 video

Well, decided at the last minute to head to track since it was a nice cool night. This will be last time out with no transbrake, thats getting installed tomorrow.

So, went for ***** and giggles on the daily tires, wore out 20's 555r's. Best was the first run, spinning thru first with a 1.78, went 7.3@98MPH. Last run was all over but put a hurtin on the z28 at the end when I took his door off & handed it to him lol.

Good times.

Awesome vids as usual, that camera is epic!

Your truck really moves out, sounds awesome. Perfect.

The two step is cool.

What do you have for rear susp. mods? I see no wheel hop ( which im fighting).

She ran damn good for worn out rubber LOL

Thanks Tim, I love racing but enjoy tossing video's together and reading over logs just as much. For the rear I run Cal-Tracks and strut extenders, also have lakewood 90/10's on the front.

Lol, he still had her pinned. After the race he said he's been running 8.5's all night. So I figure I went around him going around 10MPH-15MPH faster on the big end. I actually was in and out of it 3 times, you can here the Blow off valve on the outside cam. I'll see if I can get my friend to upload it from his Iphone.

Truck is a blast to drive, I actually wanted my friend to run it but he said he respects the HP and that he'd likely get bucked off her shorty after take off lol. He wants some street time b4 the track, I said fair enough.

My trick is he's got 10.7@137 vette I'd like "my turn" with.

So do you recommend these tires for street use. Obviously there are better choices for track but interested on your review of these tires. I can hook OK on the street with MT 315 60 15 DR but I like how 20's look more.

I think if your looking to hookup with 600+ on the street with your basic bolt on suspension parts (struts, posi, cal-tracks) it's asking alot. These tires do pretty good, but it's still not a all out in first gear kind of tire. That said, 45/50+MPH these seem to bite pretty good, even with around 12,000 miles on them and more then a couple dozen good track/street burnouts.

That said, I'll likely be buying another set and a true street tire would be scary on this truck. I'd rate them a 8.0/10. Also, worth saying I've never cut a better 60" then I have with these tires when they had around 6k miles on them. Cut a 1.58 and 1.60. So far the Hoosier slicks have only cut 1.61's a few times, and loads of 1.63-1.65
