Talking 9 sec stock short block LQ4!

Finally got around to shelling out a grand for a new set of et streets for my truck, and made a full pass with my lq4 / Isky tripple 12/ GT76mm combo. Drove truck to and from track 45min ea way on tires I raced on; only weight reduction was spare, and gate. Had tools, 2 laptops, 3/4 tank of fuel on board, ran thru full exhaust ~4800lbs. Boost only, foot brake launch. This was one pass then thrown out, no tuning or 1/8 mile test passes truck has more left in it.

Specs are as follows:

-2003 GMC Z71 4x4
-2005 Lq4
Factory pistons, rods, rod bolts, and crankshaft.
- JFR Hand ported stock valve 317's, ls9 gaskets, head studs
- JFR Isky "tripple 12 cam(that's too small for car guy's), Isky springs, stock pushrods
-All 100% factory truck acc's including Truck intake, TB, MAFS, and AC
-KBRacing Hot pipes, Budget Garrett GT76/T4(thing rips!) 3'' air to air I/C
-JFR 4L80E, with new pro yank 3400 multi disk
-Pump gas with 2 gallons of av gas added, Meth injection.
-4 Micky ET Street 28x11.50x16 bias ply

Sorry no video I'm a one man crew...

I must say I'm pretty happy with results

Either one of those times would be cool but it's freaking unreal that thing runs that hard. Makes you want to think about what the 370 would have ran with another run or two. That's gonna be hard to touch with as little as you have done to it.

The 370 was running thru a smoked trans, blowing thru verter, on old tires; had everything working against us that day. Under these conditions(which weren't that great) we would have seen 9.20's ~30's...

Congrats man! It's awesome what you've accomplished while still using a lot of stock truck parts.

How much boost and timing were you running?

I might have to talk to you about a set of those heads.

18psi !!! Have you ran that much boost often on this set-up?

What rpm are your shift points?
