Default 4.8 getting her done last night!

Well went out to the track last night in hopes of hitting a 10.99 on the ol turbo 4.8 and she did vary well, truck is 99 scsb with kb racing hot pipes and a turbonetics 78-75 1.15 ar turbo, 212-212 562 lift 112 lsa +5 cam, arp head studs and is other wise an all stock 99 4.8. Running a stock 80e with jakes shift kit and a ptc 10in converter, 3.73s with 28x10 hoosier slicks on stock 16in wheels. The first pass was just the was I drive it around every day, 10 psi air filter going throw the 3in muffler/exhaust and left on 6 psi, went 1.82 11.7@115. second pass took the air filter off and poped open the cutout and turned it up to 17psi, took off on 7.5 psi and went 1.60 10.79@124, vary happy with this and beeing about out of fuel I didnt open her up any more and just went for another pass after a cool down, took off on 8psi and got just a bit of wheel spin but still got a 1.64 10.79@125.9. Note this truck does not have a trans brake nor a tripple disk converter so this is off the foot brake and spinning to 6800 in third. Also im running e85 on 16 degrees timing 10.9-11.2af.
I have stock48 to thank for getting a cam that works! Turbonetics for a vary nice turbo unit, kb racing for the hot pipes, Ls1freek for awsome tuning, and ptc for building one bad converter!

Well at this point nothing lol, I just plan to enjoy the truck like it is for a while, Would have to change almost everything on power train to go much faster then this, I think with a 30in tire and 20-21 psi it would have 10.50s-10.40s in it, that might be about all I do yet for a while now.

Lol, na he's real cool we pretty much work on both trucks together all the time, he does more tuning and wiring ect.. and I'm the fabricater, we knew both were making the same power according to the logs he is just 200lbs lighter so he had had just a little edge on me.

Yeah it really not that hard to do if you get the right parts to work together, had the converter setup for 6800 shift point but my cam didn't really like it past 6500 so i just shifted at 6500, maybe tweaking the cam to pull a bit higher might run a bit better yet?? Seems like there's always something lol. But for 17 psi I was pretty happy with what it did.
