Default Help: 1999 Dodge V10 running like crap

First I know I will take a lot of crap for having a Dodge V10 for my tow pig, and yes I know it's easy to put a 12 valve cummins in it... That being said the truck is not showing a check engine light but it is bogging down and when I take off I hear a popping sound , i definitely wont dart out in traffic because its a crap shoot if the truck will spin the tires or crawl when i punch the gas pedal. I can stomp the gas pedal and it will litterally rake forever to build power the i hear a pop and it pins me in the seat...I assume the cats are stopped up since this is common with these engines. i also smell alot of gas from the exhaust i believe it runs lean... but before I make a lot of repairs I would like a general concensus of possible problems before I start making unnecessary repairs.

I went to Vatozone the code reader said cylinder 5 injector shows open. That would explain the fuel smell and the bogging down.
