I can't remember the actual package number...and chances are it's different now...but there was a specific code that indicated a R/T when I got mine. At the time(early 2009) the rumor was that they weren't gonna come out until after the bankruptcy, so when I saw a dealer had one listed, I was concerned that they just slapped a badge on a truck at the stealership and called it a R/T. But on my truck's window sticker, while there was still nothing noted officially about the convertor, it showed the 4.10 gears(which aren't available on any other 1500) and "R/T package". In 2009 you could still order a 2wd rcsb Sport, so it would have been easy to add a badge and pawn it off as a R/T if you didn't have the build sheet.

I'm not positive about now, but for '10-11 models, all 2wd rcsb Sports are R/Ts. The Express is similar, but has the 20s and a different interior. All real R/Ts should come with 4.10 gears. You can't even "build" one on Ram Trucks site with any other ratio. And they definitely don't come with "R/T" seats and shifters from the factory, that's all dealer add on.

Go do a build and price on a R/T on Ramtrucks.com..... 4.10 gears and only 4.10 gears in the R/T. It's standard equipment and you do not have an option for anything else.

Ill take pics of it the truck has the R/T front grille and only sets 2 people due to the floor shifter R/T on the head rest and 22" forged wheels says R/T but itll say 3.90 gears on the sticker, but the techs say it comes with 4.10s i just think its miss leading lol

Window stickers are goofy. It'll list all the standard options(3.90 gears would be one of those for a Sport), then it lists package options, and the R/T sticker would have 4.10s listed under that....so it will pry say both. I don't know that I got the verbage right, but the stickers are kind of confusing like that.

just cause its not on the site doesn't mean its not available, when i got my truck chevy's site had no option for a manual, but i have one and it was built like that. the 3.90's might just be some rarity. and im obviously not the only one that has seen that.

Who else has seen it? 62nalide said the salesman didn't think ANY of the Ram's came with 4.10, so it shows what they know, but after talking to the techs they told him they were 4.10s. I'm not gonna say it's not possible, because Dodge does some goofy stuff depending on parts availability. But it would definitely be out of the ordinary....this would be the first time in 4 years I've heard of it. The gears and converter are what make that truck, it would be odd to even allow it ordered any other way...especially if it was sitting on a lot and not ordered by a customer.

I just looked at my window sticker, and I was wrong about it showing both 3.90s under standard and 4.10s under the options included....it just shows 4.10. My package number was 25L, another R/T # is 26L.
