Smarty is what I went with on my 07 5.9l. I love it!!!
Why? Because it seems like they were making stronger numbers and more satisfied customers wtih less tranny problems.

I went with the smarty on my 2006 dodge dually 4 door 4x4 diesel and I love it. I will recommend you check your band adjustments on your transmission, and service it. Mine started slipping after I put it on #9 setting. I adjusted the bands and it works pretty good for now. I know I will have to rebuild it soon because of the front band is adjusted to the limit now. I have also found out that the band struts are bad about bending and they make billet bands and struts.

Another vote for the Smarty. Reason why I say this is because it has more precise control of the tuning parameters than other downloaders on the market, especially the Bullydog. Another thing that I've noticed with other tuners is that it makes the truck's throttle more sensitive and the Smarty is the only tuner on the market that can tune that out if you choose to do so. Plus the Smarty doesn't leave a footprint on the ECM like other tuners do.
