Default LMC vs NPD

Hope I have this in the right forum

I am about to place an order for the parts I need for the frame and suspension.

There seems to be a large price difference between LMC and NPD. Although NPD does not have all the parts I need, they seem to specialize in older trucks.

Here is a couple of example
Gas tank LMC - 149.95 NPD -114.95
Sending unit LMC - 119.95 NPD - 71.95

I would like to get everything from one supplier and NPD can not do that. But in those 2 items alone a $80 saving at NPD.

Any experience with NPD parts?

LMC pricing Seems high on alot of things they carry. I have never purchased from them as a result.

We recently purchased some Sheetmetal from NPD and it was very nice quality. They were the only company that had it available. It was also packaged very well.

There are alot of companies that specialize in older trucks. I would shop around before making large purchases.

Thanks for the replies.

I am working on a 1992 454SS. I bought this truck new in 92, sold it to my son in 98(99?). He drove it for a while and then parked it in his yard for years.

I did phone LMC and asked about the price difference. The person I was talking only offered an explanation. Sometimes we are higher sometimes we are lower. The next day they did reduce the price on-line to match .

I checked out the price of all the items I need on Amazon. I was surprised to find they have everything I need and the price was much lower. They are even giving me free shipping on the gas tank.
