to start i have my high school truck a beaten down 84 3/4 ton k5 blazer over the years i have done a few repairs in my budget mainly full brakes due to hitting the bp gas station going to school or fogging for mosquitoes before redoing heads yea it didn't help with girls
few years later after parking it for better mpg or its case fpg i want to it fixup what im working with
84 k5 (K10) 3/4 ton yes vin verification 305 H/O 700r4 np 208 10 bolt with factory locker power everything was a special order truck black silver two tone with blue velvet 80s yay
was thinking of a ls swap 5.3 or a lq6 6.0 but idk if the trans back would stand up 700r4 was rebuilt with stronger planetary (sun gear exploded with the 305 ) the 305 looks like lost compression so idk 305 350 tbi lt1 ls1 even though about a olds rocket 350 fun trust me build a 72 c10 with one
running stock 15s 31x10.5 like offroading but also daily driver in wet and winter
what do you guys think be honest looking for reliability and mpg but still fun

story behind that 1 high cam and side dum cherry bombs got me in trouble alot from a back fire that had cops jump in their boots or the 3 foot flame that exits around the same height as the local honda's windows Rice burner haha
2 i had a public complaint served against me Quote Get that truck that looks like its dying out of there City worker laughed 17yo me not so much
new set or tires were said to be worth more than truck and with streched front leaf springs had a raked hot rod look funny story
but the criticism came from people who were bought new trucks or cars i worked for mine

I say do the 5.3. That's what I'm doing to my blazer! Yours looks just about stock... do the 5.3 will really help your mpgs.
