Default Aluminum Heads

I'm about to start my big block rebuild, and want to get rid of the stock iron heads. Is it worth spending the money on AFR or Brodix heads on a purely street build? Or would getting a set of bare ebay heads and having them built be a better option? Thanks.

Street only, around 400 hp, and $1500 for the heads if possible.
