'87 Hertz ZHZ Truck
Hello kids... I'm new here, and trying to find out about I truck I expect to buy.
It is a '87 Chevy Pickup. Current owner purchased it from Hertz. It has a 465 HP Eldelbrock crate SBC motor, and overdrive tranny (per Owner). Its lowered with 19" and 17" wheels, and sounds real aggressive.
I see Hertz was renting out 500 custom ZHZ Corvettes. I am thinking this truck may have been a rental at one time... (Hertz Fun Collection) Does anybody know (suspect) anything about this truck? I appreciate the help.

Well... Looks like I am striking out on this truck info. I have melted a day searching the net using clever search techniques. I learned about ZettaHz and related physics and math, some stuff in european languages, and lots about ZHZ corvettes. Nothing about this or similar trucks. I suppose it may have been a one off show truck for Hertz, and no one ever blogged about it. It is better if it never suffered the abuse of a rental.
Anyway it is a very cool truck, and I am excited to get it.
Tell me if you have any ideas, or interested in buying it...

Yeah... In 2006, Hertz did some shelby mustangs called GT350H. The ZHZ name did not appear until the 2008 corvettes. There is no record that the ZHZ name was used prior to that. It is likely that a franchisee built it as a tribute sometime after that. I have been in contact with Hertz Corporate Relations, and no one remembers anything, but are asking around.
If its not real, I may peal off some of the grafix and drive the heck out of it. Either way it is a very hot truck, and a kick in the butt to drive.
