Took some time out today in the garage and got my caltracs done on one side. I ended up using top links from harbor freight for my bars. Need to finish the other side now.

Havent updated in a while. Took the truck out to the local autocross and ran against some mustangs in the CAM class.

I ran with the caltracs both loaded and unloaded and they made the truck atiffer in the rear and even spun out once on a long sweeping turn. Loosened the suspensions some, took the caltracs off and searched for a cheap sway bar for the rear. A buddy of mine had one he was tripping over so he donated it to the cause. It came from a 90s F150 He said and it fit like it was made for the truck.

Changed my fuel filter while i was under there and thought it was strange my 45* flare fuel line had a plastic oring looking thing.

So i played with it and come to find out there is a damn drywall anchor in my fuel line. No ****.

Need to get some decent tires on this thing before i can be really competitive. But im waiting to find some 18s for cheap so i can get into some better tire choices.

Unfortunately i am slipping in 3rd and 4th gear. Second holds strong if i keep there so i will be running one last autocross on the 7th and towing a float in a parade in second then starts the saving for a new trans. I just spent 2k on a "performance rebuild" guy talked about all kinds of upgrades he was going to make to it but i guess i will never know for sure. I have a reputable builder lined up that says my 4l60e can be built to handle 600hp+. Hope he is right because this is getting expensive quick

Playing around with some extra cans of paint. Looks good. Didnt get a picture of it with both sides done. Have to tow the float friday so i will snap a couple with the truck and the ship i am building.

Some recent updates. Smoked the 3-4 clutches in the 4l60e so i found a 4l80e out of a 06 2500 and swapped it in. New yoke and new cooler lines. Moved the cooler to the floor board.

Stated it back up and it ran like a turd. Started inspecting everything and found that my plug wire boots had been touching the headers and melted some plug wires. Then the started arcing through the plug wire boots.

Trying to get the nose down and keep air from under the nose. Decided to either roll the fenders or cut out for universal flares. So out came my 1" spacer from under the coils spring and the heat was turned up.

Clears lock to lock with suspension compressed. Looks better than flares. Maybe i just like it cause its free. Gotta do other side now.
