I cant say that I'm a huge fan of the bed cap, but this truck is beautiful!
Is that an off the shelf steering wheel? Any info on it would be appreciated.

The bed cover is a fiberglass top that opens up half way to put stuff in the bed, This was my everyday driver for work and I traveled in it al the time so it was a have to for my clothes and what not.

The steering wheel is a stock 67 SS Chevelle wheel that I refinished myself and wraped the leather around it after I put the pipe insulation on it.

Nice! How hard was it to wrap the steering wheel? It looks professional and exactly what I am looking for to put in my k10. I may have to steal your idea lol

Wink Steering whell

Wasn't hard at all really. I ordered the wrap from here.

You need to wrap the steering wheel with the pipe insulation and get a measurement for the wrap. I used black tape to keep it in place. Cut small section of the insulation and it will work great. Mine is nice and soft. I have been thinking about doing another one with thicker padding.

Talking Final tune

The truck was dropped off yesterday at hawks for the final Dino tune. I hope to pick it up tomorrow.
I sure hope they don't blow it up tunning it!

Thumbs up Dino #'s

Well the truck is done. Everything is working as it should and the Dino is done. I'm a little disappointed in the final numbers but I have a good running truck. It's not a race truck anyway.

MAX Torque at rear wheels =304.94
Max Horse Power @ rear wheels = 280.00
I'm a little disappointed but not that bad I guess for a stock motor.

Bruce says the transmission is responsible for the loss at the wheels.

He also had a car on the machine this morning to loss a drive shaft and he was probably a little hesitant to pull it really hard. Maybe!

Andy I don't think those number are bad at all if this is a completely stock 6.0. This still has the stock exhaust manifolds right?

Are you planning to do anything else engine wise? Or leaving it stock for the time being?

Motor is totally stock...the only thing is I had 1 3/4" S/S tube headers installed with 2.5" pipes with stainless steal Magnaflows installed. I may put a cam and springs in it next winter but for now it's done.

Talking Motor swap

Since the swap is pretty much done I dove right on the rotor up dates. I ordered a set of dimpled slotted rotors for the front. They wouldn't fit the Boss 338 wheels so I took them yesterday to have the hub machined down to fit. Should have them back tomorrow if the weather coperates. I also have the power steering hoses off and will be having new ones made.

Talking Weather

Well it snowed here yesterday and everyone has closed up shop. Haven't gotten the rotors done nor the power steering hoses. So I worked on the mockup of the delay wipers I'm going to be installing.
