I just priced a new LQ4 and was quoted $3768.00 plus 250 core charge. Thats my cost buying through the dealer I work at. Thats more than I was expecting it to be, dont have the money for that.Looks
like I'll be shopping for a used one.
Does that price seem right?? I thought LQ9's were selling for 3500 new?? Cant imagine why an LQ4 would be more

 

Is that a NEW long block? That seems pretty good to me. The LQ4 is the "regular" 6.0, I think.

Pace Parts has both the LQ4 and LQ9 for under 3100.00 new longblocks....

The 2000 6.0 is 2583.00

The 2001 6.0 is 3528.00 + 250 core.

You need the 2001 or newer to work with your truck, or atleast I do

With the little bit of money I have saved, I really need a long block.If worse comes to worse I might be able to get my hands on a 5.3.Theres a salvage yard here locally the has several low mileage 5.3's for 11-1300 bucks.What do you uys thing about that??As a last resort??

 

Sorry about that. Those prices are not what they have listed on their site for 88984278 and 88984279 and the descriptions are '02 LQ4 and LQ9 I wonder what the differance is between those and the one they quoted you...

I can get an LQ9 in Oklahoma for 2750 with anywhere from 3-3000 miles on them...is that closer to your price range??
