Which one produces the most power? Do they produce the same amount of power or what? The Crank Pulley seems to be used the most on the site. The set w/ the alt. pulley, does that give you the same amount of power and just increase voltage or what? TIA

I've had both the underdrive crank and underdrive alt pulley set up and now I'm using just the crank pulley. The underdrive combo probably gives a little more power than just the crank pulley by itself. The downside is that at idle your voltage drops with both set ups, a little more with the combo set up. I just got the overdrive alt pulley which is suppose to keep the charge normal at idle by overdriving the alt to compensate for the underdrive crank. I've yet to install it though.

So which set-up should I get? Also, does anybody know what rpms the stock alt & the ASP alt pulley charge at?

Hey Hit Man X! A 15/16" socket will work also, I don't have an impact wrench, may go to work today and use the one we have there to install mine.

Jim! I can get the stock pulley off with no problem, but when it comes to putting that tiny one on, the socket is too large to fit in the hole to tighten down that nut...the one that I have that fits is 22mm and too small! I pretty much have decided to take the alternator off, take it to Sears, bring the tiny pulley, and find exactly what I am looking for.Are 3/8" impacts narrower than 1/2" impacts?
Thanks!
Eric
