Default Lincoln Mark VIII Elec Fans

Will these fit and work on a 5.3L? Someone told me to go with these fans instead on LS1 fans because the Mark VIII fans flow better, is that true?

I have also heard you can use those and Aerostar fans but have no personal experience with them.

I know of guys using Windstar van fans. They are using them to cool 400+ hp BB Chevy's! They have to keep our little LS1's cool.

What is the diameter of the Windstar fan? Is it a single fan or is it dual fans?

Its a dual set up. I will have to check on the dimensions though.

The Mark VIII fan draws a TON of amperage. Somewhere around 50A at full speed. It will flash somewhere past 70A on startup from what I remember. I have one of these fans in my garage in Houston that was going to go on my F-150 and have decided against it. It is just going to tax my charging system too much for it...I even have a 130A alternator! I am going to toss on a set of LS1 fans on that truck but I need to upgrade to a 180A alternator as I have an amp for the stereo and underdrive pullies.

I'd stick with the LS1/LT1 fans. If you are really crafty you could rig up one of those fans to come on only with the A/C (so it will blow cold at slow speeds under 30mph) and the other via a thermostat (for boilover protection)...
