Default Hotchkis leaf springs???

Right now i have a 3/4 drop on my truck. I didn't like how it sat so i clamped the springs in the back to give it about another inch, but now it rides really rough. Do the Hotchkis springs lower it even more since i just have shackles right now. I want it to look like it does know but have a smoother ride....what can i do?

I've got the Hotchkis springs on mine and they ride firm (close as I can come). There's not a lot of space left between the axle and the frame, I bottom out if I'm not watching where I'm going. If you want to drop it any lower you'd probably have to notch the frame.
