StreetSweepa 04-07-2003, 10:00 AM Just wondering if the 10.5 inch drag radial would fit on a 7 inch wheel? creederado 04-07-2003, 10:09 AM MT suggests taking the tread witdh and using a rim +or - 1". If your looking for a 28" tall tire they only have 11.50 or 12.5 on a 16" rim. On the 11.50 tire the tread width is 8.7" They suggest 7-9 rim. www.mickeythompsontires.com (http://www.mickeythompsontires.com) I think some here are even running 26-11.50/10.50 on the 6.5 stock steel w/out problems. Are you planning to use the 7" stock aluminum? Try it, you can always uprade to a 8" rim for cheap. If your're looking at the bfg drag radials I believe the 255/50 16 suggest a 6.5-9.5 rim. The tire sites should have the rim requirements posted. [ April 07, 2003, 10:12 AM: Message edited by: creederado ] StreetSweepa 04-09-2003, 09:32 AM So.....An 11.5 inch tire will work on a 7 inch wheel as well? But a wider whell will get you a better contact patch. MR.MIX 04-10-2003, 10:14 AM I've got 11.5's on the stock rim and they work fine. |
