Hey guys, i have been looking in to getting a hood for a while and have narrowed it down to a couple choices. The keystone good hood that has the iroc style scoop with the heat extractors and the goodmark 2 inch steel cowl hood. I have also been looking at the VFN website and they are supposidly coming out with one for our trucks, does anyone know anything about that one? well i was just wondering everyones opinions on the hoods, there is links on the bottom to pics of the hoods...o yeah, and if any of you guys have pictures of your truck with a aftermarket hood, or if you know of any that arent listed here, PLEASE post them, and if you can photoshop a pic of one to the truck in my sig, BE MY GUEST

myself and two of my friends have East Coast Customs ram air hoods. the look like the hoods on the WS6 trans ams. unfortunately they aren't functional. but take it from someone who has been through it, get steel, fiberglass is a PITA

I used the Goodmark and the quailty/ craftsman ship was awesome. It bolted right up and only required one minor adjustment to line up perfectly, steel is diffently the way to go in my opinion.

I like the Goodmark as well. How much has everyone paid for shipping on hoods?

I hava a goodmark and it could fit a lot better. The driver's side lines up great, but the passenger side has this gap from the front all the way to the hinge...big enoungh for me to put my finger in. Every one of them I've seen has this same gap..maybe not as big though. I just bought another hood hinge and will be cutting and welding on it to try and close the gap. No amount of adjusting the hood would do it.

I wonder if it's the GMC hinges or the way that the hood is designed? weird....

The goodmarks look nice, but are pretty much useless and heavy. Other than that, nice lookin hoods. If you want some pics of my truck 3 years ago with a goodmark, let me know, hood isnt on anymore, got jacked 3 years ago (yeah i have to say it).

But anyway, my mind is set that I personally think the cowls only look good on single cabs. Just creates a more balanced appearance, and stay away from any fiberglass, those things will fold, curl, and chip in any nasty heat.

I believe Ochterbeck still sells them......save yourself shipping $$$$$$$ www.ochterbeck.com (http://www.ochterbeck.com)

Well, maybe second best. I just cashed an insurance check for rock damage to my fender and hood. Getting a goodmark. $369 is a deal.
