Looks sweet!! Needles almost look like a ghost effect. Really like the blue lights! Do they act like a black light at all? Also do you have any part numbers for those bulbs? I would love that effect in my truck!

On there youll see the 4leds 194 bulb, its a 194 bulb with 4 little leds on the tip.

You need 6 just to do the dash. You have to remove the dash assembly, take the stock bulbs out and put the leds in. It takes some time and patience. Good luck, its definitly worth it.

OK! OK! I'm sorry I was not clear on my questions. I was talking about the lights in the doors, overhead console, and dome light. By the way did you change the 4 smaller bulbs in the cluster? And does the blue act like a black light. I do not want it to look ricey!
Also some of us don't really know the bulb numbers off hand (ei 194). Just thought you had the number right there since you just change them. By asking it save others time looking it up!
Mac nice video! Did you guys get in trouble?

Looks great, now all I want to know is can you change the lights that are in the A/C control unit and the headlight contol unit???? I have no idea if it's possible or if they even make an aftermarket bulb for that, but if you can and if they do make some then that would look sweet. How long did it take you to do the needles, and was it a hard task? It looks very

marc, i have those bulbs down in my shop. the lights in my truck are blue like that. it's pretty cool at night but doesn't put out quite as much light as the stockers. gimme a call one day and we can do your's. i don't have them in my dash, i would like to though, i tried to do it and ended up breaking some of them in the dash. i plan to do the dash ones and the gauges also. as far as the needles i like that a lot. i might just have to pull my needles off and do them like that.

All the blubs are 194's except the dome light.

As far as the ac and headlight switches.. those are next on the list... ill probally have to take out the stocker and solder in a led...

The needles wernt hard to do... you just have to take some time and get a razor blade and have at em... definitly worth the work...

what all is involved in shaving the needles? how much did you take off'em? are they clear under the orange finish? sorry for all the questions but i'm thinking i might have to try this.

When you take off the needle there will be 2 layers if paint. The top one is white and under the white is the orange....

Scrape em both off all the way and enjoy...

Becareful with the needles and which way they go back on....

The doors are easy but you have to do alittle modifying. The led bulb is a little wider than a regualr bulb so you have to open up the hole a little bit for them to fit.. nothing major.

The one for the dome is alittle harder cause they dont make the right size bulb. I had to order a festoon and modify my dome light connections to fit the smaller blub. Agian nothin big but takes a little patience to make sure the bulb is in there good and dosent move.

The dome lights needed a little modding too. There is a reflecor inside the dome light houseing for each side. The reflector has like 4 perferations along the side of it and all I did was complete one of the preferations all the way thru so that the reflector could open wider and could fit around the bigger led bulb.

Hope this helps...

I just pull the a/c and the headlight switch. They are small soldered in bulbs. So it's either break out the soldering gun, or find covers, or high temp bulb paint. Do they even make bulb paint? One warning, be VERY careful when you take the headlight switch apart, it has a few small parts that will fall out. There is no point in taking the front cover off, just the back.

sup guys. just got back on campus. my camera, or should i say my dads, was dead, but i got some buddies here that have one, so ill try to take some pics, maybe tuesday....anyways, painting them is not that big a deal. all you gotta do is scrape off the stock paint on the back, and then put a small coat of yours on. you dont paint the whole needle, just the back. i used my moms fingernail polish lol....so easy to do....noy the match my reverse glow gauges. oh, and i repleaced my map lights too with red bulbs....i dont think those are gonna last, its hard to see....but the other light look cool as heck

Yea good luck with thouse pepboys lights.
I had the same ones and they only looked decent for like 2 weeks then faded. Soon your truck will be all pink instead of all red

Trust me when I say LED's are where is at.
Low power consumption, and they never fade.

Ive been thru many pepboys bulbs as well as piaa hyperwhite etc... and the leds are by far the best

This might be a stupid question, but, how do you get the bulbs out of the housing. I took the cluster out, and took the cluster back panel off. Twisted the 6 bulbs out, but can't get the bulbs out of the housing. Is there a trick? It feals like I am going to bust them.

redaddiction

ok just bust the stupid bulb thats what i did then pull it all out including the sides that are metal then you will reinsert the side tabs and stick the bulb in

I dont have a digital camara but chingon does and sometimes he rolls by my house... so next time im sure we will take some pics. But like I said we are still working on finishing the a/c contorls... completly blue.. including all buttons and lights on the a/c face

If you wanna do this get some small leds and start soldering them together with resistors. Me and Chingon have been using 2 3mm LEDs and using mirror tape in places to increase the output.
