Saw one just off the truck at the dealer so I got out and looked at it. White 5.3 Sierra SCSB. It was sweet. On the inside the dash is the same, the dash bezel is the same, but everything behind it has been changed, like the radio, climate controls, and cluster. The cluster still has the gauges set up basically the same, but it's revamped, with slightly smaller tach and a 120 mph speedo finally. Seats were the same. On the outside, the molding only went from the front of the door to the back of the cab, and not the bed. The hood, fenders and headlights looked to be the same, but the grill was changed, and had like 3 or 4 thick plastic horizontal bars with the GMC raised about 2 inches. Also front fascia was changed, and it was painted body color. And no SLE emblems. Dealer may have removed them but not sure? Also instead of chrome mirror covers, they are now black unpainted covers like on the Tahoe LS. WTF. I opened the hood and saw an ALUMINUM 5.3. I knew that the aluminum block would be in the SSR, but didn't know it would be in the 1500's as well. Oh yeah and no light under the hood WTF!!!!

 

I just looked at this truck again today and man I want some of the 03 mirrors. They have power, heat, courtesy lit, dimming, and turn signal arrows. The turn signals are built into the mirror glass, and they look sweet. Too bad I just got mine painted. I wonder if the revamped 03 clusters will swap into our trucks, too? The 03 Hummer H2 cluster is SWEET.
