Well, kevin and myself had a rough weekend. First off put the truck on ET streets and holy sh*t that thing rolled. Second, she finally bit the bullet. She broke a couple of rods but...o-well now i get to start over...Heads,cam,ls1 bottom end. Kevin's truck really hurt many peoples dreams of their fast cars when we, Kevin, myself, Matt, Todd all in the truck were raping unsuspecting corvettes, mustangs, and camaros...Off the line...no problem, from a roll, no problem...it was fun...Kevin ended up spliting the stock posi unit in the truck...Now its time for the real Eaton... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />

Well Tony, i"m going to see if they will give me a new one under waranty. Cause i've got a buddy who wants to buy a stock cast iron block, and that will give me more money to play with...I'm going the ls1 route, for sure...I think i'm going to stay with 346ci...But it will have heads and cam, rockers...and Rods and Pistons...More NOS...lol...Ask MMiller it ran pretty good, i think it suprised him. Now that you've busted it up, how much were you spraying and for how long? What kind of nitrous kit were you using?

You need to think hard about getting a 2001+ 6 liter instead of an LS1. You get the added benefits of an iron block plus the heads flow well as they are. It would be a good platform to start with.

Richard i've looked at doin this many differnt ways. I can build what i want for a third of what it would cost to do a iron block. And i will save about a hundred pounds in the front using an ls1. I was spraying somewhere @ 150 shot but it was making 170 at the wheels more on the bottle. I sprayed 4 to 5 10lbs bottles a weekend for about 2 months. I really put it to the test. Plugs looked great it was just the rods couldn't hang. I would not be scared to add 130 to 140 at the wheels, i think it would be O.K. Like i've said this was a test for you other people who want to know what the motors can actually take... <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
