I've been thinking of doing something to the rear of my crewcab to cut down on some road noise. Would Dynamat help, or is there something better to use for this?

Yeah, the windows & doors are pretty air-tight. It's just that the you can hear the rear tire noise on some of the rougher paved roads. On the smooth roads there is hardly any noise at all. I think I'll try just doing the back of the cab for now and see how much it helps.

Neil, have you looked up Jason Pendlum over at Pacific Audio? He did his truck with some off brand stuff for a lot less. He has lots of pics of it. If you get in touch with him, tell him to get his *** over here too.

From being around car stereos with my previous car, Dynamat works great for road noise coming through underinsulated panels. If your noise is from wind of side windows it won't help as much.

Yep, I found Jason's page about it and it has given me an idea of what to do. Thanks. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

To give you an example of how good dynamat is here you go. I was at the truck jamboree in socal, and there was this blazer there that had a huge system in it. We asked the guy to hear it and he said ok, the only problem was there was no room for me, so all of my friends went in first. I was two feet outside of the suv and I did not hear one thing. When my friends got out of the car, they were in total shock. I asked them if it was loud and they said it was the loudest system they had ever heard. Now it was my turn, and that system was so loud, my whole body was shaking. It definatly works.
I also got it comletely done in my 89' GT and it did make a difference. Road noise was down, and my system sounded a whole lot better. Hope this helps, Kent.

It does well, I got 200 ft of mat and 150 ft of foam and 12 cans spray foam in my truck. I would get some Raamat instead. works great and is way cheaper brown bread is good as well. Dynamat is way over priced for what it is. Here is the site on Raamat. http://www.cureline.net/lex/raamsale.htm
email rick there and tell him Michael sent you, good stuff <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
