I would recommend putting 18 inch wheels and lowering the back 2 inches. That would look cool.

I think I would get shot if I decided to lower a 4 x 4 truck... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I wouldn't recommend dropping a 4x4 either.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Oops, didn't read your sig, in that case, put some 17's with some fat A/T tires, and some kind of grille insert too, with the billet bow tie, and tint your windows dark.

Paint your door handles to match. Maybe some 285 tires down the road. How about a grille insert. Afterthoughts Auto (a site sponsor) is begining to carry Stull products. They make some great products for our trucks.

fast4.8 where on their site are the grills?

btw my truck is how i bought it
2in rear drop
35% tint (going to 20 since the 35 is jacked up)
and thats about it.
20s pretty soon unless i sell it to my cousin...

Are you going to tint them yourself? I did all 3 of mine by myself, 20% front, 5% back. It is not very hard. If you want to do it yourself I can give you general directions, it is pretty hard to mess up unless you don't get the window perfectly clean, it gets little spots under it.

Carlos, paint the ugly red GMC emblem on the grill pewter to match the truck. I painted mine storm gray and get a ton of compliments on it. People really do ask how come mine isn't red LOL!

See pics of it on my truck modifications site.

Yes, it was kind of a pain in the ass to do haha.

get a 6" Suspension lift from like Super lift and a 3" Body lift. Then get some like 36's or something. It'll look bad ass.

Being the aficionado of appearance mods <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> my first venture was front clears with amber DRL's:

<img src="http://home.earthlink.net/~rwaitas/_uimages/purge.jpg" alt=" - " />

Then about a year later I painted my grill and washed the truck...

If you like that one...I've got anothe one I will be finishing up with soon. Twice the fun and some fiberoptics to boot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Little nitrous and a little colored light should make for a good wallpaper.

Hey oxidizr how did you paint the grill shell but not the chrome strip that goes across? Does it come out or did you just tape it? It looks very sweet.

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> What he said. Love the grill

My first (and best) appearance mod was +driver (that would be me) <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

All seriousness aside, Zaino was one of the best appearance mods I have yet to make. I mean the whole system from clay bar to finish coat.

Brandon asked what kind of clears I have. They are APC brand. The fronts look just like the ones Oxidizr has above. The rears are all clear with mold marks around each bulb chamber, I painted around the mold marks. I think I got them from Jegs, but can't find them there or at American Products Company(APC)website. The third brake cover is from V-Tech http://www.v-techcovers.com/images/prods/74050.jpg bought at Summit. I have also found Jam Strait LEDs to put in them APC LEDs blow our fuses.

Very first thing I did was I took all of the body moldings off and all of the big plastic emblems. Only thing that is left is the Z71 stickers on the back of the bed.

Cheap, easy and it cleans it up quite a bit.

I'll probably do some grill stuff, paint the mirrors, door handles, and the top plastic part of the front bumper next.

As for appearance mods, I started by removing all of the cab/tailgate emblems and side moldings. I added Escalade handles inside/outside, a billet grille, and I paint matched all of the plastic on the bumper. Some StreetScene mirrors wouldn't hurt either. Just to give you a few more ideas of what you can do.

I have a 4/6 DJM drop and I don't have any trouble bottoming out except on speedbumps. Maybe the roads in FL are just better than everywhere else! LOL

Here's a pic of my truck: <img src="http://www.acrophobia.net/images/temp/scream_02_1.jpg" alt=" - " />

Clear tail lights can't be found anymore. Closest thing was in ACME discount parts & accessories catalog volume T2701 page 44. APC brand with red reflector at bottom instead of clear like I have to get catalog go to www.acmetruckparts.com (http://www.acmetruckparts.com) APC don't have this one on their site either. Glad I got mine in 2000.

All my appereance mods have also been somewhat functional. My first was tint then rims/tires then the 2/4 drop. I am planning on getting my grill, bumpercap, and door handles colormatched and getting a grill insert in the future.
