Default Magnuson or Vortech Supercharger?

What are your guys suggestions, opinions, reviews? Does anybody have these in their trucks with a 4.8L? Vortech is about a 1000 dollars cheaper is the 1000 dollars worth it for the Magnuson?

goals ? if i had the chance to do it again i would go with a tvs over the s trim vortech . the vortech may save you some but the install is much more involved on the vortech. also the support on here for maggie is much better.

on a 4.8l with a tvs 1900 or the vortech s trim id say you will get about the same power out of the box. the tq will come in a bit sooner with the maggie.

If you don't mind the sound of the maggie. That's the one to go with.

I would say the same thing, but not the front inlets anymore. My TVS with jtube is loud but every vehicle I have driven that has the front inlet TVS is almost unnoticeable (besides obvious blower sound that even a centrifugal has). Granted I am a little biased.

Hard to fight the support of Magnacharger and the complete kit sell. But as you are about to find out in a lot of responses, it may depend on what you are looking to do. (TVS is still pretty hard to fight in the blower world these days...)

TVS 1900 if you plan to run relatively mild setup and near stock stall converter would be my vote. If you decide to go with a centrifical blower, take a look at a procharger. They are a very straight forward install, probably the easiest of all the supercharger options, and theres probably more support on this site for procharger as opposed to the vortech. Bob @ EPP (ls1tech sponser) would be a good person to get you hooked up with the procharger. Joe at leftcoast32 would be the one to talk to about the tvs blowers.

I have had my Maggie on for 4+ years and have Never Had a Problem, Not 1, Nada, Nil, Nuttin, and what ever I buy in the future will have one added as well.
