4.8 dog off the line
#1
I have an '08 Silverado crew cab 2 wheel dr.
I have installed a Airaid cold air along with the Power aid throttle body spacer and Gibson performance exhaust. The problem is that although its pretty quick after 30 its a real dog to get there.
Any suggestions?

You purchased a CREW CAB with 4.8? Why on earth would you do that?
4.8 has no torque. The smallest engine they should offer in a CC is a 5.3.
Gears will help. 4.30's IMO. Stall Converter 2800-3200 Circle D is on sale for about $380 right now. Definitely a custom tune. The TB spacer is only helping the truck whistle, that's about it.

Get rid of the TB spacer, unless you just love the sounds or have intentions of spraying. A custom tune would definitely wake the truck up a bit, and I would plan on some gears down the line. What gears did your truck come with?

Don't feel too bad my friend has a lifted, 4x4 CC with 36'' tires, 3.42 gears and a 4.8L lol. He actually un plugs the front diff actuator and puts it in 4L to do burnouts. Like said above, converter, and gears would be the cheepest. Next step would be forced induction, or a 6.0~6.2L swap.
