Default What mods to do first? NNBS

Hey I have a 07 NNBS RCSB witha 4.8. I will most likely never take it to the track. It is a DD and tows a boat. I think it has a locking 3.23 rear end.

In what order should I start with the performance upgrades? Keep in mind I would have to buy one at a time.

thanks, Matt

If I get a custom tune will I have to have it re-tuned if I get an intake and exhaust?

You dont have to buy it would be a good idea. Do you plan on doing everything all at once or no? Almost all of the customer tuners have free re-tunes so keep that in mind.

BTW, my vote goes for tune! I cant believe I waited as long as I did to get it tuned

No doubt, getting a good tune is important. Vortec engines leave a lot on the table with the stock tune. But, you really need to retune after most mods to take full advantage of the mod, especially headers. Most tuners will allow retunes for a reduced amount or sometimes for free after the first session. If not, I might recommend doing the intake (CAI) first. Headers would be the next thing on my list followed immediately with a tune. Might need to buy the headers and not install them until you saved up enough for the tune. These engines are basically large air pumps. You want to improve flow in and out of the motor.
