Default General questions about TBSS's..

Considering potentially buying one of these within the next year. Just would like to know if there's a place to find general information about Trailblazer SS's.

Things such as: What years had what engine's, hp/tq ratings, transmissions etc. 2wd/AWD? What freemods +/ most commonly done removal or alterations owners make. General problems(random squeeks, creeks groans, parts that fall off or fail)

Catch my drift?

Things like what I've listed are what I liked the most about owning my 00 camaro SS and searching on ls1tech.com. endless information. Thanks!

Rick.

06-09 had the same ls2 same 4l70e trans and could be had in 2wd or awd.Free mods? Lowering the rear some and opening the pass.side headlight inlet up some are really the only free mods to speak of.General problems..prob the trans...some have failed sooner than later, there was also a door weather stripping issue but its all dealer fixable.

Like other's have posted go check out tbssowners.com

No difference really in issues between the awd and 2wd. They both have the same issues. Some have more then others. 06 ECM is different from the 07up. Rear diffs and transmissions seem tobe the biggest problems. Great truck.

Bad transmissions squeaky center consoles. I seem to have door seal problems.
This website will help you out with the years: http://ss-shootout.com/differences.html

I fell in love with these trucks when they first came out and after getting one I love them even more. Every person who drives my truck loves it and talks about buying one for a daily.
My buddy plans on buying one for his girl. My buddy sold his vette and got a 2500. After driving it he said it reminded him of his vette. My cousin went from an evo to a 335 and said he would consider a tbss for his next vehicle after driving mine bc it handles decently and is definitely quick enough for him.

As a side note, I dropped the rear 2" and put coilover up front and set the front wheels to 1 degree negative camber.
