I have a 2000 silverado 4.8 5spd 4x4 and I want to swap an auto into in. What all do I need? Tranny, flex plate? Will my computer and wiring harness work with the 4l60e? I'm looking at either a 2003 or 2004 SS tranny. Please help. Thanks.

 

Where are you located? I have the flexplate you need to swap the auto in, and I need your flywheel and clutch......lemme know!

 

dont know about your truck but...my 2000 nv3500 had the longer crank in it which means a 4l60e will not work in your truck...you'd have to change cranks or swap a 4l80e...

I found out the hard way when I was swapping in my T56...I had read that the early 6.0's had longer cranks but I guess the early 4.8/5 speed combos had the same as well...
