it gives a little more stall speed to get you out of the hole over stock. also makes for more badass burnouts lol. when i had one in my truck i lost .4 in the 1/4 easy without any tune changes if that can help any went from 14.8 to 14.4

I guess what I'm asking is if this is the way to go for a budget stall on my truck? I don't know much about these at all. I don't see what the difference is, other than quality, between this and "brand X" (for example) that can run upwards of $1K, etc. Are these ideal for daily driving?

it is a good budget stall for sure. worth the money and it will hold just like any other stall as long as you have a trans cooler which i kinda hope you have already with the mods lol. its not going to weigh any less but it will help with getting that beast movin

i actually have only driven the truck about 100+/- miles since all the mods were done. The built tranny and cooler are going in sometime in May once I get the truck back down to FL. I was going to run the stock stall as recommended for my driving needs, but these TBTC stalls seem to be a close enough to stock stall that it might be better than the stock on overall. Just not sure if these stalls will be suitable for my application or not.

I have some research to do...

I think they stall somewhere around 2600-2800 in 5.3s, could be wrong..I can brake stall mine to 2600 but after that i start to spin.
