Default new best...need opinions on nitrous

went and raced the 7.50 class bracket index yesterday. kept the tailgate, and had all kinds of junk in the cab. the truck feels different on launch now that the tires are bolted to the wheels.

had the truck dialed in pretty good but i figured out too late that you really need a trans brake to be considered a competitor. my times were

7.77 (all motor)
7.51
7.48
7.52

i was eliminated by a camaro. i ran a 7.52 and she ran a 7.54 but she treed the dog ****** out of me and took the line. i was pulling her back but slammed on the brakes at the end so i wouldnt break out and ran the 7.52 with a 86mph hahahaha. my 7.77 was at 88mph. i was hoping that she broke out but she didnt

i was spraying a 30 shot out of the hole and progressing to a 100 shot in 1.6 seconds. i nailed the 7.51 on my first nitrous program trying to achieve a 7.50

anyways i was expecting it to be faster with the 100 shot. i see other people making huge gains with smaller shots and basically the same nitrous setup.

how do you guys spray? all 100 off the line, or right after or what? it hooked great on the 30 out of the hole but the track was prepped well.

Spray as much as you can as soon as you can... everybody knows that!
jk man, just keep testing and tuning, hopefully you can get her dialed in.

Running what you run on motor,a 100 shot wont drop your times as if you were running 14s NA
You just have to practice using the nitrous and figuring out what works best

yeah, just keep turning that 30 up on the progressive. Goto 50, then 75 and keep going until traction is your Achilles heel. Or you can shorten the time to get to the 100 from the 30. Make it 1.4 seconds, 1.2, 1.0...you get the point.

Try 50 shot with 1.7 seconds.

haha as in a loose nitrous bottle not bolted down, toolbox in the floorboard, laptop slinging all over the cab, a case of miller lite, didnt close the laptop bag and had wires spread all over haha. no passenger or rear seat but not as organized as it usually is i guess. i usually just have the drivers seat, console and thats it in the cab. kept the tail gate on which i usually lose too.
