Default Went to the track :(

well i put my 3500 converter along with my built tranny, shift kit and servo. i went to the track friday with my 26' et streets and ran a 13.6 at 97mph with a 1.95 60' and the 1/8 was an 8.5x..... i havint got it retuned for all the new tranny mods i just wanted to see if anyone knew why its running a 13.6? i see plenty of people running low 13 to high 12's with my set up? i do realise that my 60' was horrible and i will be lowering the pressure on my et streets next time but evan gaining 1-2 tenths to my 60' still wouldnt put me were i want to be. anybody have any idea what the problem is? oh and all the mods are in my sig

cutting .2 in the 60' is usually good for .4 off your e.t. If you can get to low 1.7s you have a chance to break into the 12s.

run a taller tire, like a 28.5 or something. it will help your top end, the 26s are just too short IMO. and working on your 60ft wouldnt hurt either

I just got some 315/45/16 et streets and on the street they hook like glue with 20psi. They are 27.2 tall, They make a 295/50/16 also that is 27.8 tall.

if i were to get down to a 1.7x 60' how much would that effect my overall time slip? i would think at least 3-5 tenths because that would be an increase in 2 tenths jsut in my 60'

If you don't believe me that's fine, but I answered that exact question in the first reply in this thread.

as stated above, your 60' is hurting. .2 off your 60' is gonna net you somewhere between .3 and.4 off your et. mph seems a little low..... good traction, and you could pick up a mph or two. get a cutout. seems to help.people have reported around 15hp gain with a cutout
