Default Should I get this 6.0?

Local is selling a 6.0 out of a wrecked 2005 denali, the denali had 52,000 km on it (about 30,000 miles) and its completle except the alternator and one of the exhuast manifolds, buddy bought it for a spare parts motor. hes asking 1000 bucks for it, should I jump on it? Also would this be a LQ4 or LQ9?

It'd be an LQ9, and the price isn't bad for the milage and your parts now would swap over to it (alternator, manifold, etc.) but I don't know how eager you are to build a 6.0? If it's something you've been wanting to do then take the deal..but always try to talk down prices!
