Have a few real good buddies in EOD, on the Marine side, they love it! Pay is good too for them. Good luck to you and let me know if you have any questions, can't help with too much Army stuff though, just the Jarhead side ;)

I am former military. 8.5yrs, helicopter mechanic, well fabricator and repairer. I did all the structural and body work, kevlar, fiberglass, rotor blades, etc. It was fun making all kinds of crap.

I keep hearing EOD is fun, but I've heard recently EOD has a low return rate of soldiers :(

I was in Afghanistan (Ghazni area) it is freaking cold there right now.. had to come back early on emergency leave and I am a proud papa now ....(Boy)..In the states I live around the College station area....Later ski....

22 years active, infantry, 13 years 82nd, a tour in the 25th ID and drill sgt. duty in between. Currently shamming at Princeton ROTC duty and finally going back to my home state in June-heading to Ft.Bliss. Or should I say Mexico haha. If I can't retire at least I can be in Texas finally.

I'm currently stationed in hohenfels Germany but about to move to Grafenwoehr to goin HQ of my company (615th MP Co) And gear up for Afghanistan. Can't wait to dump some deployment money into the truck :D

I left Ft Drum in Dec 2001. What a dump compared to Ft Campbell. I hated Drum.:cheers:

30th HBCT 1/120th CAB checking in. Been in 7 years as a 19K Tanker currently attached to an Infantry Company on Deployment in Iraq. This makes my 2nd tour. Enjoying it! :-)

I'm 609th Sappers in Nevada. 21B is cool. You can get EOD qualified once your in. I'll be going to Sapper school here soon.

26 years of Combat Engineering and retired in August 08.....I now train counter IED in Iraq, and soon to be training US Forces in Germany. Combat Engineer or EOD are great fields. EOD is highly technical and will land you a high paying job on the outside as well anywhere in the world that you want to work.

I've been in the ARNG for 7 yrs. 1108th AvCrad/E-6,15B Helicopter engine mech and now a machinist.

Ft. Knox now was at Ft. Hood....19D scouts lead the way haha just had to throw it out there my bad :) However I dont recommand 19D, EOD all the way!!! No future being a 19D when its time to get out...just law enforcement

I got a 98 chevy swb reg cab with the original v6 in it(200,000) wanting a everyday driver with balls. What engine should I go with. 91B here in Kandahar( well near it) Any suggestions?
