my tranny is messing up and i dont know what it is at 60 ill mash it to the floor it will downshift into passing gear and about 2-3 seconds into passing gear the truck will give u a jerk or a shutter it feels like the tranny let go for a second or the torque converter locked up but i dont know anyone have any idea on the problem? any help is much thanked.

The truck:2003 gmc RCSB 5.3 64,000 miles 100% stock

thank you torque wrench if the converter is slipping is the tranny still ok or does the converter mess the tranny up to?

 

If the TC is slipping, it usually means that the clutch inside of it is worn out. If that clutch lets go and the TC blows up, it is going to take your transmission out with it. I would have it checked out and correct the problem before it costs you a transmission.......
