Truck when i bought it!!

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/chancemg/trucks/100_0227.jpg

I drove it like this for about 1 year with Port & Polished TB, magnaflow muffler, no cats, servos, 4.10's, and nelson tune. Then i decided to swap a LS1 into it, along with Pacesetter LT's, 222/224 cam, LS1 intake, Comp 918's, Comp 7.4's, 3000 stall, Transgo HD-2.

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/chancemg/stuff/chance018.jpg

Then i needed a little more, so i swapped cam and stall to 228R and TCI Competition 3800. At this point, i figured it was time to upgrade the rear so i got a Truetrac

Well i drove for a month or so and tried to ignore the LS6 intakes that i was seeing all over the place, Well that didnt work so i pickup one of those and a few weeks later i see how high my IAT's are so i ordered a S&B CAI

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/chancemg/stuff/intake002.jpg

Next thing i decided to do was nitrous, so i searched for a while and found a deal on a used Nitro Daves kit and decided to get it

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/chancemg/stuff/lower006.jpg

I was going to work one morning and had someone pull out in front of me and once i got slowed down enough and done swerving on the shoulder, i felt the steering wheel shaking, well i got home that evening and started searching for rotors and found these.

Ok so i drove like this for about 3 months and I splurged. I bought a Fast 90 intake that had been mildly ported also i painted it gloss black, LS2 TB, and DRX harness. Also decided to do the LS6 valley cover.

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/chancemg/stuff/100_0104.jpg

Well now i got BIT again, and started modding. I decided to port the 243's i had sitting in a corner and have them milled .010 and install with .040 cometics. The exhaust i have had since i swapped motors had became to small so i had to rework the driver side tube with all mandrel 2.5" instead of the crush bend 2.5". I also decided to repaint the headers, clean the tips and muffler, and paint the mid pipes. Not done yet, i also am going to relocate the battery, build a fuel cell, and get a dyno tune by futral motorsports.

"No pics yet, but will post as i get them"

Video @ State Capitol Raceway "12.7 @ 103 running with rich ass tune", before the Fast 90 and 243's. It also went 11.81 @ 112 with a 100 shot

nice man.

I don't see anything about an upgraded trans? are you just running servos and HD2 in the stock trans? with a cammed LS1 and 100 shot?

thanks guys!!
I am running the stock tranny that came in the truck. Wasnt long after i bought the truck i installed the servos. Then while installing the motor i installed the HD-2 kit and a 26K cooler. Yep with cammed, stalled LS1, and 100 shot. I actually destroyed the TCI 3800 converter once and had it rebuilt. While it was being repaired i had the stock converter in and my god can i tell you it shifted hard. Ive sprayed about 4 bottles through it on a 100 shot. Still strong so im gonna run it until it gives...lol

Update!!!!
Got the cell built, just fabbing up a plate to mount the stock fuel pump. Waiting for the cutoff switch to come in and got the exhaust done. Also removed the crossmember thats between the bed and the cab (served no purpose since i removed the charcoal canister and stock tank.

Great thread.

Was that 222/224 cam the comp cam hr273? How would you compare it to the 228r?

Also, I'm curious what you did with the band clamp on the passenger side primary because the o2 bung gets down in the way

compared to the 228R it sucked to me!! power band wasnt as wide, and not as much under the curve. It had a little more low end TQ but i didnt need anymore of that with a dang stall and 4.10s.

The band clamp issue was fixed by notching it. You can see in the pic of the drivers header where i had to notch it also where i welded the Wideband bung.

I didn't want to risk ruining the band clamp, I really thought it wouldn't seal since it needed to be notched so much. Glad that worked out for you.

See if you can rent A Hot Water Pressure Washer!!! I barrowed one they had at a freinds shop. Thats how I did the frame on my Suburban. Then I sent it out and had it sand blasted. I tried to sand it my self after stripping it and I realized it would take me forever to get it all sanded and ready for Paint. Probally would have cost me the same or more in sand paper and cleaner any way. When I got it back from the Sand Blaster I spent about 30min-1hour touching it up here and there and then cleaning it. Then I sprayed it with PPG's Epoxy Primer DP90LF.

Well i finally got to drive my truck today after 3 weeks being down for mods. I can tell everyone that all it wants to do now is Smoke Em'. I tried a 40 punch and left a good trail of smoke and rubber....lol!!! I also tried just to accelerate from 30 like i would just speed up on the roads and that almost got me a ditch
