TXsilverado 01-07-2009, 03:13 PM pm me if you fit the bill. i may have a great deal for you. someone with return style fuel rails hopefully. BlackGMC 01-07-2009, 04:33 PM When i got rid of mine, i posted it on Tech, and the manifold sold pretty quick if you price it right... TXsilverado 01-07-2009, 04:55 PM im looking to trade fuel rails and alternator brackets with a truck. Blue02Hoe 01-07-2009, 06:21 PM um, how do i know if i have a return style fuel rail? v8 01-07-2009, 07:46 PM 99-03 have the return style and 04 and up are returnless, look at the fuel rail to see if you have two fuel lines on the driverside by the intake. SSlammed03 01-07-2009, 11:47 PM i wanted to do it but mines a 06 and im low on cash lol... bump for ya cuz i know this makes a huge difference DBYRD 01-08-2009, 02:49 AM i do want to do this mod. i have an 01 LQ4... Stewart PM me! TXsilverado 01-08-2009, 11:44 AM what year is your truck? even though the motor is from a certain year the fuel rail goes by the year model of the truck. pm sent back to a few of you guys. TXsilverado 01-08-2009, 11:45 AM and here is a copy/paste from another forum. im looking to change setups. hopefully i can find someone in the houston area wanting to do an LS6 manifold swap. heres the kicker. i will do all of the work necessary to get your truck running on the ls6 manifold. i need someone with a return style fuel rail to make the swap with. I WILL SUPPLY: LS6 intake manifold LS1 style map sensor New manifold gaskets Ls1 stile manifold bolts 97 corvette fuel rail Idle pulley relocation bolt and spacer I will modify your alternator/power steering bracket to allow for clearance All gas lines/clamps/hardware to make the system work correctly. and a few other miscelaneous sensors and relays. Possibly the belt if you have an asp underdrive pulley. YOU SUPPLY L92 water pump (I can get you employee pricing on new parts) LS1 style injectors LS1 injector pigtails Belt (if you do not have an underdrive pulley) coolant I will also need a few little miscellaneous parts from you stock manifold that I had to modify to get the ls6 manifold to work Bring me the parts I need and I will have the manifold installed and running for 500 The intake goes for 300 easily, the fuel rail cost me 125 (and is extremely hard part to find), and after gaskets, relocation kit, and LS1 style bolts the parts alone are worth more than 500. ill install it all for free. You must have a return style fuel rail though. Not trying to be picky but that’s what I need. I chopped some of my fuel rail so you wouldn’t have to modify the OEM fuel lines. In the process I ruined my rail but saved some very expensive lines. Luke03 01-08-2009, 04:25 PM Damn if only i had 500 something bux laying around... and i live like right by you lol :( v8 01-08-2009, 06:52 PM Damn if only i had 500 something bux laying around... and i live like right by you lol :( I think he said for free lol regency 01-08-2009, 06:54 PM So did you ever try running the 1/4 i guess i missed your thread if so?? 454navyss 01-08-2009, 08:12 PM wish i was closer and had $500 to spend on something like that right now. what is the advantage of an ls6 intake over a stock truck intake? Luke03 01-09-2009, 12:01 AM I think he said for free lol lol if stew wants to do a direct swap for my crap to his im down :) TXsilverado 01-09-2009, 09:11 AM lol if stew wants to do a direct swap for my crap to his im down :) haha im basically doing the install for free. not the parts for free:engarde: L33Z71 01-09-2009, 09:15 AM I want an LS6 intake on my Z28, but probably don't have the stuff you need. Nor do I have the extra 5 bills laying around. LOL. Free bump for ya. TXsilverado 01-09-2009, 12:48 PM depending on what the income tax money looks like i MAY be going to a fast 92 setup. if that happens ill be selling the intake alone. until then im guna run another truck intake. GMCtrk 01-09-2009, 02:26 PM so is the ls6 manifold bunk or what's the deal? I was looking at ported fast 92 but the price just seems absurd. |
