I am having a problem with my 4wd on my 98 F150 5.4l. When I put it into 4hi it wants to pop out occasionally when I push it. I have been having a problem with getting it into gear and it is impossible to put it in 4lo. I was wondering if there is something that I can check out myself. I am not really familiar with these trucks on the repair end. I have a Chiltons repair book, but I do not know if it has repair or troubleshooting on this.

Btw I am new to this part or LS1tech.
