i have an 06 ECSB 5.3 with G80 and 3.73. 2 inch shackles, stock suspension/street tires

current:

yank 3k
shift kit with vette and 4th servo
gibson shorties
flowmaster 3 chamber on the truck (have two magnaflows that might go on)
nelson 91 tune
K&N aircharger

realistic future mods:

Comp 216/220 113 lsa from Pete @ VMAX
TBSS manifold and TB
nelson tune to accomodate

with all these mods, is it likely that i can beat the newer mustang gt's? what about lightly modded SRT4?

i have some friends that wont shut the F#%K up. ive had these parts sitting around for a year. i just bought a house and i am setting up my garage. im getting the itch to wrench again

with the cam you are thinking about going with the srt-4 shouold be no problem i have a buddy with a slightly modded srt-4 and he ran 14.3 at 99 i run a 05 5.3 with a tune exhaust intake filter and 100 shot i post up 14.1 at 100. the mustang gt deal they just have so much torque but with all the stuff you have now and the cam you should be able to pass them up well a bone stock mustang in the quarter will post high 13's

cam/intake/new tune/headers/3000 Yank... with 3.73/slicks... you may see a VERY low 13, depends on your DA.

colder temps, good DA.. may even see a HIGH 12 sec pass..

You'll beat GTs for sure. I don't think you'd get an SRT-4 since the majority of them arent stock, but even in stock form they are very fast.

Just tell her it'll be a happier house if your truck is faster!:D
If that doesn't work...I know somebody on PT said it before...It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. :judge:You decide, it might just get you 1 of these---> :buttkick::nutkick:

I think I'd pick on a GT before a SRT4. Stock. For years, the GT had ~260HP in somewhat heavy car. Don't those SRT's have ~260 in a much lighter pkg.?

newer mustangs trap in the 103-106 range with the manual, autos 99-101 your going to trap around 92 with the mods you may see 95, if you can get him out the hole big enough you will win other than that get nitrous ahaha, good luck.

a Gt with bolt ons will run 12's easy and a SRT-4 with bolt ons will run mid 13's with the SRT limited to traction from a dig since it is front wheel drive.
