Ok guys here it is! I have been in iraq for a while making killer money and spending it just as fast on my truck. Now im to the point where i have done just bout everthing except for the lsx build up. These are the mods i have done since i have had the truck. I for starters removed the lift kit and replaced it a filp kit on the rear hangers and a notch. On the front i installed drop spindles and three in torsion keys, as well as a camber kit to fix the tow in. Then i went for the looks. I bought some 22x10 ss replicas, a roll pan, ss front bumper, speed grill for the bumper and grill. Then i replaced the hood with a 2 inch cowl hood. During this process i built my 4.8. I cant exactly remember the specs on the cam but i installed a cam with ls6 springs and texas speed hardened pushrods. I installed an asp underdrive cank pully, dual electric rans and harness, long tube passetter headers, dual single in single out three inch exhaust, slp intake, nx nitrous kit, and a custom tune by greg mcbride. Soon after playing with that motor i pushed it a little too far and some how bent two valves by hitting the pistons. Thats when i bought an 2000 ls1 installed a torquer2 cam, prc dual valvesprings, and a melling oil pump. I bought and installed a 3200 fuddle converter and had Tim Frost build my 4l60e. Thats really where im setting now just trying to get my facts in order to start this build. Im open to all suggestions and opinions. I plan on buying a 454 lsx shortblock from HKE. I also plan on running a 250 to 300 shot on it as well so i have no idea on what heads to run but i have already purchased a fuel system i will have pics on here soon of that as well.

DAMN! pretty serious shot you're gonna throw at it! that'll definitely be a badass truck, you think a built 60e will be able to handle it?

No built 4l60e will hold up to an already 500-600hp lsx with 200-300 shot. neither will the rear end. you will need traction aids like caltracs. You will need a custom driveshaft, do you plan on a rollcage?
Dont mean to sound rude but that is one extensive build that will push the limits of what these trucks can handle

What are you goals, because what your looking at would be overkill for 10's
do you have a set time you want to run?
if so we can direct you were to go and probably save you thousands of dollars, have you looked into a bored, stroked and forged 6.0?

You may want to take some cues from the guy on here with the 7.0L regular cab. He's running 10's N/A on and mid 10's on the spray spinning all on a 65E. There are also slowly becoming alot of 11 second 5000+lb trucks going 11's on a 65E. On recently went 11.01 on a 65E in a 5500lb SSS. Before shooting for 9's though, get everything dialed in that 7.4L before even bothering with spray.

wow, i think I could pay off my house with what you have spent and what you have planned for this truck..
take the advice from these guys with double checking your plans. I spent and extra $500-$1000 on parts I didn't need or had to sell to upgrade, and my build is nothing compared to your plans. Go with ported l98s or something from afr for heads, and as long as an 80e will fit I would just go for that.
this thing will be one hell of a sick truck though!
I recomend taking a look at least at a few things from his build as it might help you out with yours.

Whether you go with the LSX 454 or not, I think it would be nasty! Yes, you'd have to have the drivetrain and suspension upgraded to match but that would be a sick truck!

ok guys here it is. Money is no issue. I plan on running a 80e and running inch and seven eighths headers. All of the old drive drain will be removed and relplaced. It is fourwheel drive so traction shouldnt be a problem. I dont know really what im going to do about it breaking so any suggestions will be helpful. I have several friends with forged 370s and on friend that has a bad ass 408. My fuel system actually was purchased from bpowell688 he is the one with the 408. My current set up ran 12.1 at 108. That is with the motor only having a mild cam and a 150 shot. I understand that paybe going from a 12 second truck to a 9 second truck seems a little extreme but i didnt have the money before and now that im in iraq im making enought to do what i have been dreaming of. A rollcage is definatly in the works.
Ok cool, Wasn't sure about backround and different things. I would take a look at flaco's setup, because that is about were you will be, he is 2wd though.
A built 4l80e, and a built rearend, I know the 10bolt wont do
Didnt mean to be rude just wanted to know your goals and plans
Sounds like you will have quite the beast, There is plenty of people here that can help you out Good Luck! and keep us updated
