Post K&N Cold Air Intake Good or Bad???

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton. Wondering about whether a cold air intake will help me out or not with power and response. I have true dual cherry bomb extreme mufflers, custom tuned PCM and a K & N filter w/ stock air box. Any help or suggestions....

I think the stock box with K&N is good because it keeps out the hot engine air. If you want to upgrade I would go with the volant for the same reason.

Get the Air Raid tube to finish off the air intake. I did this and I love it. Helped on power, and helped my city mpg.

+1 on the volant. Open element filters pull in to much hot air IMO.

I had the K&N filter, and I liked it,then went to the K&N CAI.I did notice a improvement with the CAI.Could Not Be Happier with The K&N.

i picked up the gm performance parts one from scoggin dickey, i like it. it comes with a huge tube from the tb and a whole airbox with a cast alloy chromed lid and draws from the stock location, the inner fender well.

I've had the K&N FIPK and now the Volant with ram air, and the only thing that I noticed over stock was more noise lol. I dunno, maybe my butt dyno just isn't that sensitive. Alot of guys do just as good by modding the stock airbox, but the aftermarket CAI's are pretty sharp looking IMO...I love the asthetics of my Volant.
