Default DBW Pedals

I noticed that my 2003 Silverado "4.8L" has a non-adjustable DBW pedal that is higher or closer to me than my friends 2005 Silverado Regency RST 5.3L and my friends 2004 Silverado Crew Cab 5.3L. To help understand, my pedal is like my wifes 2003 Tahoe with adjustable pedals, to the closest position. Their pedal is like to the furthest or lowest position.
Did GM have different throttle pedals on 2003 or something???

Also, I noticed it stays at 20% throttle when Its at idle. At 80% pedal, my scanner reads 100% throttle. I am using a 90mm LS2 TBSS TB and the torquerush adapter x-link. Is that normal?

Did you buy your truck new? If it was used, it may have been replaced sometime in it's history. I can't imagine the wrong pedal assemby being installed.

I haven't a clue, however I can tell you over any truck or tahoe I've tuned they've all been cable TB's and not DBW like your truck and mine. I can tell you my pedal (like yours) sits further away than a cable driven pedal. Personally, I like it more. At any rate, I thought I read something awhile ago that if you tried adapting a 90mm DWB TB to a 78mm tac module, even with swapping junk around the TB would never open more than 80%. I wonder if Dr. X somehow manipulated the harness in such a way that no matter what the current TPS signal is, add 20%. Does that make sense? So if you command 50% the TB is really 70%? 80%+ equals 100% at the TB opening. I don't know if I'm right but I'm just speculating. At idle my truck is about 6% TPS. With the harness maybe it'd be 26% TPS. Regardless I'm ordering a harness and got a TBSS intake on the way. We'll see how it works this spring. A lot of people talk about the improved low end throttle response with the intake and the TB. Maybe it's because when they only hit the pedal 20% it opens past 50% giving you the perception of more power

I see what you're saying. But if the throttle body and PCM are both at 100%, only the pedal is the 80%.

Right, what intake and TB are you running? LS7 TB or trailblazER?
