Did you log the dyno runs last night? Does it show torque converter slip speed? If the converter was locked then it should show 0 for the whole run... If it was input speed (rpm) should match the output speed of the trans.

Yep i logged them, but I did not log those PIDs, damnit..... Next time I will be more prepared.....

When I went from 3.42's to 4.10's, I went from 9.54 to 8.90 with no other changes and virtually identical weather. That was leaving at 2000 rpm as I recall. You've got a 7 second truck with stall and gears for sure.

This was right after I got my truck from trt. It was running a 10 1/2 Vig. that would stall at 2500 at 5lbs. boost out of the hole. Felt like a total pig! :barf: Ran 5 1/5 lbs. down the track. I was very dissapointed in the times but it was a lot better than the 10.39 bone stock. Reviewed the slips, it appears the weather was actually a lot better the week before with the 3.42's. One week and $900.00 later, same driving technique. I was really pleased with the gear swap to say the least...drove like a totally different truck.

I Understand. The only other experience I had with a gear change was a gutted but still fairly heavy '77 Camaro with a 327 out of a 65 El Camino. (Hey, its all I could afford to run at the time). 2.73 gears, turbo 350 and NO torque it seemed. Changed to a 3.73 posi and dropped from a really horrible 10.8 (1/8) to a much better 9.8! That was almost 20 years ago now...thanks for the memories. :angel:
