That motor has balls at every rpm it spins at. There is no dead spot on that motor BlownChevy 10-21-2008, 11:28 PM ewwwww Toyota aside you gotta respect the 5.7/6 speed powerterrain. That motor has balls at every rpm it spins at. There is no dead spot on that motor I hear ya....its a hard decision to be honest, its a REALLY nice truck and with the blower its quick AND under warranty:devil: A few tweeks and its in the 12's:devil: 07Sport 10-21-2008, 11:34 PM DO IT... What? Who said that...:D BlownChevy 10-22-2008, 01:12 AM DO IT... What? Who said that...:D Its a difficult choice for me......G8 GT with a 6.0L and a blower....run 11's or RCSB Tundra with a blower and run 12's. and the car is cheaper :bang: PSM 10-22-2008, 01:23 AM So lets see, stay with GM, be faster, and be cheaper... and the issue is.... And don't say the G8 is too small to fit into. I've sat in one and I had plenty of room, and I ain't no small guy trever1t 10-22-2008, 08:16 AM BC you change your mind more often than ________. DOIT I want to see you ready to run in January! 07Sport 10-22-2008, 02:26 PM Tough call, Ive not driven a G8 but i did get to sit in/oogle one when they first got them in at the local GM dealer and they are very nice cars. If they were 2 doors, I would have some issues within myself. BlownChevy 10-22-2008, 04:45 PM I am worse than Kooner when it comes to cars and making up my mind....I found a 67 C10 that I might buy and just call it a day. supersub 10-22-2008, 09:09 PM I hear ya....its a hard decision to be honest, A few tweeks and its in the 12's:devil: Yeah right! The only reason I haven't is because they aren't easy to tune. The truck stock is bad ass, but I think you're only getting 75-80% of what it could throw down. I've never been in a stock truck that pulls all the way to to the limiter like that does. This guy has a RCSB, Volant air filter and two Flowmaster 40's that he chopped in. 0-60 in about 5.2sec. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o54ZBagYs6M&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSxbFfHla6c Even with the SC you can only get their reflash of the PCM. Time will tell people are working on it now but I think it will take some time. Brian, did you turn off the VCS when you drove the truck? (they didn't turn it off in the tests on edmunds) Push and hold the VCS button for 3 seconds, the button is a little below and to the right of the steering wheel. Then you'll see the truck with "swervie lines" light turn on in the dash. The truck will smoke the tires when you stab the gas from a dead stop. Buy that pig and find a way to tune that thing!!!!!! I drove the shit out of it...in fact I scared the sales chick to death:D The Tundra lost the battle today, with all of my GM supplier discounts and points and rebates yada yada the G8 GT was 6500 LESS than the Tundra. PSM 10-24-2008, 11:08 PM The Tundra lost the battle today, with all of my GM supplier discounts and points and rebates yada yada the G8 GT was 6500 LESS than the Tundra. Good:judge: BlownChevy 10-24-2008, 11:37 PM Good:judge: LOL:D 07Sport 10-25-2008, 12:09 AM Dont fault you on your decision, the G8 is an awesome car. As far as tuning on the Tundra, I believe URD is in the process of coming out w/ something, but who knows when or how effective itll be. PSM 10-25-2008, 12:12 AM When I talk to people about tuing vehicles they are all amazed how easu it is for gm people. I think we take for granted how easy we have it in the tuning work compare to other brands 07Sport 10-25-2008, 12:24 AM I would for sure agree with that. Ive had a couple dodges and now this toyota, and really, count your blessings. There is nothing to compare to the ease of tweaking that GMs have. yurs78 10-25-2008, 11:12 AM I drove the shit out of it...in fact I scared the sales chick to death:D The Tundra lost the battle today, with all of my GM supplier discounts and points and rebates yada yada the G8 GT was 6500 LESS than the Tundra. Congrats!!!!! Sounds like it was a no brainer deal for the car. Saw the pics on the other thread, I love the white. Never thought I would. Let's see some video on that baby, tear it up. I'd post video, but my truck doesn't do anything special :eyes: I'm afraid to go SC because of the Quadsteer. I don't want to grenade anything that I can't get parts for. Then I have an expensive paper weight. |
