TBSS for me?
#1
Okay, around graduation time next year, I am going to look at a few vehicles. Question is would a TBSS be a good SUV for a long haul to Texas for school (from Louisiana)? Do they get good gas milege? How is the room in them, and could it hold around 3 suitcases, and some containers while hauling a Uhaul with furniture (not too heavy)?
Thanks.
Thanks.

TBSS is one awesome SUV, especially with bolt-ons
If you get one Im sure you wont have any trouble doing what you want. Im not sure my mileage because I havent checked it in a while. Some guys average 18 - 19 mpg with tune

Thanks guys. If I get it, starting mods will be tune, and get rid of all the stock exhaust parts and go SLP or borla.
I have my own style of making my vehicles to look nice. So for looks I am thinking of a drop, some shaved and molded body parts, and a modified f-body centermount exhaust.

Its a buyers market right now, and think you should be able to get one with descent miles (30k ish) for @ 18k maybe 19k.
On a TBSS website in the past 3months Ive seen. 06 with 30k go for 15k (sold to my friend, this is rare). Also seen one guy (sales guy) list 10 TBSS's for I think it was 19k

Wow, those seem like some pretty good deals. I'm halfway interested in one now, except I know gas won't stay where it is at right now forever. Anybody know how these things do in the snow? I'd be looking at an AWD if I were to get one and it would be the wifes DD, so it would have to handle the northern Indiana winters.
And I'd also have to fight myself and keep it fairly stock. She was kind of interested in the Envoy I was driving for work over the summer so a TBSS should be an easy sell to get her on board, since its the same size and all.

I've had my 06 for almost two year. I got it used for a good price at the time about $26000. Now I see them selling used from about $18000. On a side note in 25k miles I've averaged 13.3 mpg
