Default Replacing radio

I am in bad need of swapping out my stock radio with an after market one, but I have bose. Do I have to have the interface thing to keep my bose or will the regular wiring harness adapter keep it going? I dont care if the buzzer and stuff still works at all I really do not like them. If so where is the best place to get one?

If this is on the 04 listed in your sig there is a jumper harness that is behind the radio a/c control head that ties in the bose amp with the factory wiring heading to the rear doors and front doors. If you unplug the harness and use a harness adaptor you bypass the bose and are connected directly to the speaker wiring running to the doors. You will lose the tweeters on the A-pillars though. You can located the plug by following the bose harness up from the center console behind the dash. This plug is snapped to the backside with a tab. The harness runs on the driverside of the center console up and then behind the a/c control panel where it interfaces with the crossdash body harness.

If you do that, make sure you put bass blockers on the tweeters. Unless they are built right into the tweeter, but I doubt it. They don't like to play bass too much.

some bass still travels to the highs speakers and 6 1/2's and 6 x 9's can take a little bit of what the deck sends to it, but the tweets aren't supposed to have any.

You just get an adaptor harness for a non-bose standard audio system and it will plug right in.
