Anyway, I know there are some guys out here pretty close so give me a shout and maybe we can get together. I haven't even heard of any decent tracks out here... Let me know guys.

I like that idea lol. I've already gotten the bbq and drinking accomplished... My girl is 600 miles away at home though... Oh well. Nothing new to me lol. All I'm worried out here is making hours. Working 7/10s about to go to 7/12s.

I you brought your truck drive an hour to odessa and have some fun racing. We are having a big race at the 1/8th mile on saturday. My new cam should be running by then if you want some action.

I might just do that. My little old cammed 5.3 won't be any kinda match for your cubes and bottle.mine doesn't even have a bottle on it anymore for that matter... I hate running 1/8 mile too but if that's all there is then so be it I suppose.

You working turbines or oilfield?

Oh, and it's a bit of a drive, but there's a dragboat thing going on this weekend in San Angelo.

1/4-mile racing can be done here: http://www.sanangelodragway.com/
Not the best track in the world, but better than nothing I guess.

I'm working at the alon refinery rebuilding it since the fire and all back in feb. Ill be up here for a few more months and then its back to pine trees and large bodies of water for me... I had my fill of desert when I was in Iraq. I'm not talking shit... I know this is home to a lot of people but its just not my cup of tea I guess.

I grew up in Midland, on the other side of Odessa there use to be a 1/4 mile strip at Penwell. I believe it's still there. My little sis hangs out with a group that runs at that 1/8 mile track. She always has alot of fun.

prop up some road kill and stick a coors lite in its paws.
